You may be in for a long wait if you are waiting for a better time to buy or sell. Buyers, in particular, may be burned if they believe a bargain will appear if they simply wait. Here are three things you should know about the housing market in Tampa.

 

Tampa is a burgeoning market

In terms of predicted year-over-year price increases in 2021, Tampa was in the top ten cities. Tampa might see a 7.5 percent price increase, putting it ahead of Miami, Orlando, and Jacksonville. Tampa is also among the top third of all metro regions in terms of expected sales growth over the next year. The inventory level is still low. Thousands of subcontractors walked away from the construction industry, never to return in the next twelve years. The United States had a housing shortage of around 400,000 homes per year.

 

Having More National Trends

Never hurry into a transaction. You may have heard stories about people who raced to buy homes when COVID struck and then regretted their decision. Some people ended up loathing the home they purchased. Others hurried into a contract without conducting due diligence and discovered issues that required them to rapidly resell the property. Others saw a drop in income and were unable to keep their homes. Even if all of those in the latter category go into default, there won't be enough homes available to meet present demand. The housing market in the United States is flourishing, but not in the way that a bubble is about to burst, but rather as a symbol of economic health.
